Blood drive at school successful
The Minneota National Honor Society of Minneota High School hosted a blood drive last Thursday, April 5.
The National Red Cross Bloodmobile handled the drive that was organized by the National Honor Society.
“We had 49 presenting donors and 48 total units were collected,” officials indicated.
There were six deferrals and two who could not complete their donation.
“We want to thank the Minneota PTA for funding the food to the workers and Barb Okrina for making the food.”
When the blood drive is held at the Minneota School, many of the students take the time to give blood — something they often can’t do during a school day when the drive is held at the Minneota American Legion Building.
