St. Edward School Happenings
Library – Mrs. Jan Bot
The students are excited to have the books purchased from our book fair rewards make their way to the shelves! New books are ALWAYS a reason for excitement! In story time we have begun our genre study. Next week we will read a nonfiction book about St. Patrick’s Day.
Music- Mrs. Rybinski
Fourth and Fifth Grades have started the recorder segment. We hope parents will encourage them to practice. They will also be learning to play the glockenspiel or xylophone for those who have had recorder before. Sixth Grade is focusing on rhythm, with instruments or “body percussion” (clapping and stomping). Second and Third Grade are also focusing on rhythm and learning notes and note values. Kindergarten and First Grade learned a little dance for “Pease Porridge Hot.”
