Speech team takes third in own tournament
Another Minneota Viking Speech Invitational is in the books! “We hosted 16 teams and over 300 students, coaches, and judges,” said Coach Kim Gades.
The team took third place with over 11 individuals placing in the top eight.
“It was a great day to be a Viking!” Gades said. For Minneota, Sean Dilley in Informative took home first place honors with Rachel Engels second in the same category.
Brenden Kimpe and Jacob Haen took first place in Duos.

This was the Minneota Speech team’s second meet of the year. They performed at Worthington last week.
This was the only varsity home meet they have this year. Minneota’s junior high speech meet scheduled for last week has been rescheduled for March 11.
