She and Owen were active members of the community and developed the Devonshire subdivision in Lakeview, Arkansas. Dorothy was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals and attended the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home.

Dorothy loved her family and friends.

She had an appreciation for beautiful music, art, theater and the lovely landscape of the Ozarks. She surrounded herself with beautiful things that she had collected over the years and photographs of her family.

She could effortlessly beat you at a game of cards and made sure to always prepare your favorite vegetable and dessert if you were coming over for dinner.

Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Joyce Olson of Bozeman, Montana, Gayle Chesebro (Robert) of Greenville, South Carolina, and Alexis Zubow of Flippin, Arkansas; and 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, Charissa Reid (Tim; children Anna, Olivia and Katherine) of Montana; David Olson (Elaine; children Mark and Megan {Carson} Haskell) of Washington; Kristen Chesebro of Missouri; Naomi Olson of Alaska; Todd Chesebro (daughter Ruby) of Florida; Kevin Chesebro (Ashley; children Kaden and Kingston) of South Carolina; Elizabeth Johnson (Brent; son Dylan) of Arkansas; Katherine Farshler (Ron; children Evangeline and Sebastian) of Texas; Julie Chesebro (daughter Carys) of Georgia; and Margaret Hodges (Donny; children Preston, Alexandra and Aidan) of Arkansas.
