Drive, Chip, Putt champs are named at Bug Days
The Drive, Chip and Putt Contest was held at the Minneota Countryside Golf Course last weekend during Boxelder Bug Days. Brooklynn Downing, a senior on the varsity golf team, was the driving winner. Laura Knutson, also a member of the varsity team, was the putting champion.
State tourney participant Nolan Boerboom, a 10th grader, was the winner in each division.
Other winners included: Braxton Downing, nine grade winner; Lauren Bowyer, eighth grade girls winner; Cole Myhre, eighth grade boys winner and Ella Bot seventh grade girls winner.
There were 10 participants in the contest’s first year.
